Using found objects such as weathered wood, stacks of pallets, and milk crates, I recontextualized items from an alley near the neighborhood where I live in Cleveland, OH. Discarded wood was installed on the gallery walls to recreate the faded façade. Found hair weaves were printed and displayed in deteriorating, ornate, gold frames. Loose hair, purchased from the local beauty supply store, was used to produce text-based artwork. The resulting objects serve as reminders of mortality and the fragility of life.
