Home Sweet Home

Using found objects such as weathered wood, stacks of pallets, and milk crates, I recontextualized items from an alley near the neighborhood where I live in Cleveland, OH. Discarded wood was installed on the gallery walls to recreate the faded fa├žade. Found hair weaves were printed and displayed in deteriorating, ornate, gold frames. Loose hair, purchased from the local beauty supply store, was used to produce text-based artwork. The resulting objects serve as reminders of mortality and the fragility of life.
